OXFORD, Ala. – The Stillman cross country teams kicked off the 2026 campaign on Friday morning, taking part in the 20th Annual Foothills Invitational. The event was hosted by Jacksonville State University at Choccolocco Park, about a half hour south of the JSU campus.
 
Both the men and the women competed in 5K events to begin the season. The Auburn women (25 points) and Jacksonville State men (21 points) took home the team titles.
 
On the women's side, freshman Kirlan-Loryn Williams led the way for the Tigers, turning in a time of 24:12.1 in her collegiate debut. Fellow freshman Aydin Collins produced a mark of 27:36.7, sophomore Tanyzia (27:41.6) set a new personal best.
 
Freshmen Elijah Anderson (22:35.1) and Emariun Jones (22:36.8) ended the day as Stillman's top two indiviuals in the men's race. Desmond Andrews followed with a time of 23:28.9, and sophomore Con'darius McCorvey (25:25.0) added a new PR of his own.
 
The Tigers are set to return to action with another Friday meet next week, when they will again stay in state and compete in Montevallo's Falcon Classic.
