MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Stillman track teams opened the outdoor season over the weekend, taking part in the Falcon Classic and Multi hosted by Montevallo. The Tiger men tied for 14th place out of 21 teams, while the Stillman women finished in 16th out of 17.

The two Stillman programs combined for five podium finishes and six personal bests.

Cameron Washington opened the track events for Stillman, turning in a time of 11.45 in the men's 100.
Makiyah Thurman (12.18) gave the Tigers a sixth-place finish in the women's race, followed by teammates
Jada Walker (13.06) and
Kerrigan Clark (13.47).

Washington (23.03) and senior
Carey Owens (23.07) represented the Tigers in the men's 200, with Thurman (26.19) turning in a personal best and
Jada Walker (27.24) also competing in the women's event. Owens would later turn in a time of 52.84 in the men's 400, good enough for 18th place individually.

Freshman
Majesty Folds produced a time of 2:11.19 in the men's 800, while Akaisha Cousette followed with a 3:28.42 in the women's 800. The same duo then ran the 1500, with Folds' time of 4:50.40 and Cousette's mark of 7:11.41 both setting new personal bests.

The men's discus saw
Evan Wyckoff finish in 12th place behind a season-best attempt of 38.21m (125' 4"), while teammate
Caleb Washington following in 17th at 30.61m (100' 5") with a season-best mark of his own. On the women's side,
Taylor Hopgood (36.20m/118' 9") came in seventh place with a new PR, while
Sendia Cobite (31.24m/102' 6") landed in 12th.

Wyckoff (25.82m/84' 8") later turned in a 14th-place effort in the men's hammer, with
Caleb Washington (19.62m/64' 4") taking 16th. Cobite (26.59m/87' 3") came in tenth in the women's hammer, followed by Hopgood (22.63m/74' 3") in 11th.

Owens came up with an effort of 6.17m (20' 3") to lead the Tigers in the men's long jump, with
Kentrell Bonner (5.98m/19' 7 ½") and
Kenneth Richardson II (5.51m/18' 1") finishing in 18th and 21st respectively. Owens (14.10m/46' 3 ¼") later added a third-place finish and a personal best in the triple jump, followed by Richardson (12.31m/40' 4 ¾") and Con'darius McCorvey (11.78m/38' 7 ¾").

The men's 4x100 relay team of Bonner, Owens, McCorvey and
Cameron Washington took sixth place behind a season-best time of 44.08. McCorvey, Bonner, Folds and Richardson closed out the weekend with a time of 3:49.31 in the 4x400 relay, good enough for eighth place. Â Â
