CLINTON, Miss. – The Stillman College track and field team sent two representatives, and
Christopher Johnson and
Kenneth Beck Jr. put on a solid showing during the 2025 Mike McMillan Twilight Invitational Friday evening.
Johnson, an NAIA national qualifier, finished first in the men's discus throw with a throw of 49.23m, defeating his nearest competitor by nearly five meters.
The senior from Meridian, Mississippi, also earned first place in the men's shot put with a toss of 14.46m. Johnson cleared his NCAA Division I competition by over a meter in the event.
Beck competed in the men's 200m and finished with a time of 21.67 for a fourth-place finish. The sophomore from Birmingham, Alabama, finished eighth in the men's 400m, logging a time of 49.58.
