Men's Outdoor Track and Field Nicholas Finch

Track and Field Bring Home Medals on Day Two of HBCUAC Championships

SHREVEPORT, La. – Day two of the HBCU Athletic Conference Track and Championships proved to be a solid outing for the Stillman College Track and Field team as the Tigers brought home a pair of medals.

Christopher Johnson brought home his second gold medal of the weekend with a first-place finish in the men's shot put. His effort of 15.17m set a personal record for the senior from Meridian, Mississippi. Caleb Washington finished sixth in the event with a season-best 12.33m, and Evan Wyckoff posted 11.84m to finish eighth. 

London Wooley brought home second place in the women's high jump after a leap of 1.52m.

Stillman's men's team finished with the fifth-best team score for the championships with 44 points. Voorhees claimed the team title win with 217 points. 

The Lady Tigers also finished fifth with 23 overall points. Dillard claimed the team crown thanks to 277 points earned. 

UP NEXT:
Stillman College will continue to compete beyond the HBCUAC Championships and that starts April 25 at the 2025 Mike McMillan Twilight in Clinton, Mississippi, hosted by Mississippi College.
