Men's Outdoor Track and Field Nicholas Finch

Track and Field Results from First Day of HBCUAC Championships

SHREVEPORT, La. – The Stillman College track and field team settled in for the first day of the HBCU Athletic Conference Track and Field Championships and had a solid day of success. 

Christopher Johnson finished first in the men's discus event with a throw of 53.99m which cleared the field by 15 meters. Evan Wyckoff finished with 35.40m and Caleb Washington posted a season-best of 32.52m. 

London Wooley finished just outside of receiving a medal in the women's long jump with a fourth-place finish and a personal best 4.84m attempt. Kerrigan Clark posted a leap of 4.62m to finish sixth and Kiera Fuqua-Brown came in 11th at 3.88m.

Wooley also finished ninth in the women's javelin throw with a toss of 19.22m. Limaya Batimba posted a 13.93 throw for 15th place and Jordyn Pinkston came in 16th at 13.49m. 

Kentrell Bonner went 6.23m in the men's long jump for an eighth-place finish. Kenneth Richardson II lept 5.66m, Cameron Washington posted a 5.55m effort, and Josiah Ransom went 4.94m. 

Stillman College returns to action tomorrow for day two of the outdoor championships tomorrow at 10 a.m.
