BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Stillman College track and field team wrapped participation in the 2025 UAB Spring Invitational Saturday at UAB's Track & Field Complex. The Tigers brought home several new personal records and top-ten finishes.
Christopher Johnson won the men's discus throw for the fourth time this season with a toss of 50.37m, clearing the competition by nearly five meters. The senior from Meridian, Mississippi once again cleared the "B" Standard which would have qualified him for the NAIA National Championship, however, he qualified two weeks ago with a throw of 54.78m at the Falcons Classic in Montevallo.
Evan Wyckoff set a personal record in the discus with a throw of 38.76m for a 14th-place finish.
Caleb Washington placed 22nd after posting a distance of 32.37m.
Sarah Gordon set a personal record in the women's 200m with a time of 28.13 seconds.
Over in the men's shot put, the throwing men's trio posted solid numbers. Johnson finished fifth with a 13.50m toss, Wyckoff came in ninth at 11.85m, and Washington threw for 11.32m.
Kentrell Bonner posted a 13.01m attempt in the men's triple jump for an eighth-place finish. Josiah Random leaped 11.75m for a 12th-place effort.

Stillman College will have two weeks to prepare for the HBCU Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships held in Shreveport, Louisiana, April 11-12.
