Top-Seeded Stillman College Set to Host HBCUAC Basketball Championship
Twenty-six women's and men's college basketball teams will converge in Tuscaloosa next week for the 2025 Hope Credit Union Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Basketball Championships at Stillman College. The 24-game tournament, hosted by Stillman and Visit Tuscaloosa, will run six days from Tuesday, Feb. 25 until Championship Sunday, March 2 in Birthright Alumni Hall.

Women's Basketball
The Stillman College women's basketball team took the Wilberforce University Lady Bulldogs' best shot Tuesday night, but the Lady Tigers showed a front-runners' edge and took a 73-70 win in HBCU Athletic Conference action. The win moved Stillman to 16-1 in the conference with one game left to play, and ahead of Dillard (15-2), which the Tigers defeated head-to-head in December.

Men's Basketball
Late game heroics forced overtime, and the Stillman College men's basketball team took care of business in the extra period to grab a 78-68 win over the Wilberforce University Bulldogs Tuesday night in HBCU Athletic Conference action.

Women's Basketball
Stillman College women's basketball team closed the 2024-2025 regular season with a 75-53 victory at Fisk University to finish as the HBCU Athletic Conference regular season champions at 17-1. The Lady Tigers were picked to finish third in the HBCUAC preseason coaches' poll with only one first-place vote, but are now the No. 1 seed in the HBCUAC Hope Credit Union Basketball Championships and will receive an automatic bid to the NAIA Tournament.

Men's Basketball
Stillman College men's basketball team closed the 2024-2025 regular season with a 95-83 victory at Fisk University to finish atop the HBCU Athletic Conference standings. The Tigers were picked to finish fifth in the HBCUAC preseason coaches' poll with only one first-place vote, but finished with the best overall win percentage (.778) at 14-4. The Tigers win the HBCUAC Regular Season title in their first year in the conference after sweeping Tougaloo College and Dillard University, who both had four losses, when they played in December.

Baseball
The Stillman College baseball team scored four runs in each contest, but the defense did not hold steady for game two against the Wiley University Wildcats. The Tigers won the first contest 4-1 but dropped the second game 18-4 in HBCU Athletic Conference action.

Madison Bubel drove a two-out pitch into centerfield for the game-winning RBI in Game 1 of the day to give Stillman College softball a 9-8 victory over Central Baptist College. The Tigers went on to close out the day with a 9-3 win in the nightcap for the non-conference sweep.

Stillman College baseball suffered its first HBCU Athletic Conference series loss after falling to Wiley University, 15-5, on Saturday at Tiger Field.

Softball
Stillman College racked up 24 runs in a non-conference twin bill against Central Baptist College and United States Sports Academy on Saturday. The Tigers took down CBC 13-5 in the first game, and then defeated USSA 11-4 to close the day. Central Baptist and USSA played each other to start the day.
