NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Stillman College women's basketball team closed the 2024-2025 regular season with a 75-53 victory at Fisk University to finish as the HBCU Athletic Conference regular season champions at 17-1. The Lady Tigers were picked to finish third in the HBCUAC preseason coaches' poll with only one first-place vote, but are now the No. 1 seed in the HBCUAC Hope Credit Union Basketball Championships and will recieve an automatic bid to the NAIA Tournament.

The Lady Tigers raced to a 25-6 lead when
Hannah Boykin-Williams finished a fast break run with a shot with 2:26 left in the first quarter. However, the Lady Bulldogs countered with an 8-2 run to end the half, but Stillman ended the first with a 27-15 lead.
Stillman pushed the lead to 17 again in the second when
Raena Suggs hit a three with 5:07 on the clock to go up 36-19. The Lady Tigers finished the half with a 43-28 advantage.
The lead continued to bloom in the third with Stillman pushing to a 23-point, 60-37 with 42 seconds left when
Jaida Minter got a three to go in transition. The visitors ended the quarter ahead 60-20.
Stillman maintained a comfortable lead in the fourth quarter as Fisk only came within 16 points with 4:44 to go, as the Lady Tigers went on to collect a 75-53 win in the team's season finale.
Notes and Numbers:
- This is Stillman College's first women's basketball conference championship and the first by a women's basketball conference title by a four-year institution in Tuscaloosa.

Raena Suggs led a quartet of double-digit scorers with 19 points and six steals added.

Jaida Minter finished with 15 points and six rebounds;
Kashara Preston went for 12 points; and
Hannah Boykin-Williams posted 10 points and seven assists.
-Stillman hit 10 or more three-pointers for the ninth time this season after going 12-of-23 from beyond the arc.
-The Lady Tigers finished the regular season 24-4 overall and 17-1 in HBCU Athletic Conference competition.
