OAKVILLE, Ala. - Stillman College men's cross country made their first in-state trip of the fall to the Oakville Indian Mounds Saturday morning for the University of Tennessee Southern Firehawks Invitational. The Tigers finished 11th overall and fourth among NAIA teams competing in the race.
Amos Metto ran a 31:24.5 8K to lead Stillman's pack. Kenneth Beck Jr (37:43.1) and DeMarco Allen (37:55.7) were next. Joshua Ashhurst (41:56.8), Carey Owns (43:00.4), Cedric Taylor (43:45.5),
Kenneth Richardson II (44:01.4) and
Kentrell Bonner (44:04.7) rounded out Stillman's scores. All Stillman runners finished in the Top 100 individually.
Cumberland University won the race, with SCAD Atlanta finishing second, and the University of Alabama was third.
Stillman will take the next week off and return to competition in October.
