MOBILE, Ala. Stillman College men's outdoor track & field posted a fifth-place finish Saturday, April 8 at the University of Mobile Invitational at University of South Alabama's Jaguar Track.

Nine Tigers scored team points in the meet, giving Stillman a fifth-place finish with 55.5 points among 10 teams. South Alabama was first with 164 points, followed by Mobile (136), William Carey University (92) and Spring Hill College (68.5).

Kenneth Richardson II scored the most individual points for Stillman with 8.5 total points. He posted a collegiate personal record in the triple jump (12.90m) to tie for third and posted his first high jump mark of the season (1.74m) to finish sixth in the event.

Throwers Willie Washington (12.78m), Caleb Washington (11.62, PR) and Caleb Washington (11.62m) finished fourth through sixth in the shot put to score 12 points. Johnson also added two points in the discus throw, finishing seventh in the event.

The Tigers gained nine points in the 5000m with Amos Metto finishing third (16:13.03) and Emmanuel Kipruto sixth (17:28.52) among attached runners. They were sixth and ninth overall in the race. Kipruto's time was his season-best in the event.

The 4x100m relay team scored eight points, with Kentrell Bonner, Johnson, Ka'Mari Webb and Carey Owens finishing runner up to MUW with a time of 44.66.

Webb finished third in the 100m hurdles (16.22) to add six points, while Owens added four points with a PR 49.84 to finish fifth in the 400m.

The Tigers will take the next week off before returning to Jaguar Track on April 21-22 for the 2023 Southern States Athletic Conference Championship.
