TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Stillman College junior guard Dasean Sellers has been named HBCUAC Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Tigers to a 2–0 road swing, capped by a rivalry win in the inaugural Hardwood Classic at Talladega. The Birmingham, Alabama native averaged 24.0 points and 5.0 rebounds across the week as Stillman stretched its win streak to four games and improved to 5–5 overall and 3–0 in HBCUAC play.
Sellers opened the week with a career-type performance in a 75–71 comeback win at Voorhees. He paced all scorers with 29 points on 12-of-15 shooting, adding five rebounds, five steals, three assists and a block while playing all 40 minutes. His late free throws and a go-ahead layup in the final minute helped Stillman erase a nine-point deficit and secure its third straight victory.
Two days later in Talladega, Sellers again rose to the moment, posting 19 points and five rebounds to lead Stillman to a 62–61 victory in the first Hardwood Classic. The Tigers fought back from a 12-point first-half deficit and used a late surge to reclaim the lead, with Sellers finishing as the game's leading scorer as Stillman brought the rivalry hardware back to Tuscaloosa and remained unbeaten in HBCUAC play.
Behind Sellers' breakout week, Stillman has now won four straight contests heading into a home HBCUAC matchup against Rust College on December 13 at 3 p.m. in Birthright Alumni Hall.
