NEW ORLEANS - Stillman College junior Taylor Hopgood was named the HBCU Athletic Conference Women's Track and Field Track Athlete of the Week on April 7 for her performance a Troy University's Doc Anderson Invitational on Saturday, April 5.

Hopgood threw personal bests in three of her four events. The transfer from Belhaven University was the top NAIA finisher in the Shot Put (10.98m), Discus (33.48m), Hammer (23.79m) and Javelin Throw (17.80m). She finished third in the shot put and fifth in discus.

This is the first weekly honor for Hopgood and Stillman women's track & field in 2026.
