NEW ORLEANS - Stillman College thrower Sendia Cobite was named the HBCU Athletic Conference Women's Track & Field Freshman of the Week on April 13. 

Cobite was runner-up in three events at the University of West Alabama Invitaitional in Livingston, Alabama on April 11. The freshman from West Point, Mississippi had personal records and placed second in each the discus throw (36.31m), shot put (10.79m) and hammer throw (29.16m). She was the top NAIA finisher in each event during the mostly NCAA Division II meet. 

Stillman will next compete in the HBCU Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Conference Championships in Shreveport, Louisiana on May 1-2.
