DECATUR, Ala. – The Stillman College softball team was well represented at the HBCU Athletic Conference Softball Championship banquet Tuesday night. The Tigers walked away with 18 individual awards after a dominant year on the field.
Lauren Haskins received Player of the Year, Hitter of the Year and First Team All-Conference at shortstop after a year where the senior posted an astronomical season with a .518 batting average and an .801 slugging percentage. Haskins has amassed 73 hits and 10 walks for a .567 on-base percentage. She has accumulated 45 stolen bases, 41 RBIs, eight triples, seven home runs and three doubles.
Jasmine Wade earned Pitcher of the Year and First Team All-Conference. The native of Harvest, Alabama, finished the season with an 11-4 record and a save in 20 appearances this season. She posted a 3.30 ERA in 91.1 innings of work while posting 49 strikeouts and holding opponents to a .249 batting average.
Alex Erwin was voted Newcomer of the Year and First Team All-Conference in the HBCUAC. Erwin, a native of Helena, Alabama, the left fielder, hit .388 on the season with a .458 on-base percentage and a .592 slugging percentage. She heads into the conference tournament with 40 hits, 31 runs, five steals, four doubles, four triples and three home runs.
Katelyn Lankford won Utility Player of the Year and First Team All Conference in two positions. Spending time at both second base and catcher, the junior slashed a .294 batting average, .342 on-base percentage and a .376 slugging percentage. She's totaled 32 hits, 29 RBIs, four doubles, a home run, a triple and a stolen base.
Joel Penfield is the 2025 HBCUAC Coach of the Year. Penfield guided the Tigers to a 30-11 overall record and a perfect 15-0 mark in HBCUAC competition. Stillman led the conference with a .353 batting average, .420 on-base percentage, .496 slugging percentage, 404 hits, 306 runs, 273 RBIs and 23 home runs.

Stillman College returns to action Wednesday at 2 p.m. and will face the winner of the Rust College and Oakwood matchup on the first day of the HBCUAC Softball Championship.
