Stillman Softball Wins 2025 HBCUAC Regular Season Championship

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Stillman College is the 2025 HBCU Athletic Conference Regular Season Softball Champions, the conference office announced Monday. Stillman (23-7, 12-0 HBCUAC) clinched the regular season with a three-game sweep at Dillard University on Saturday and Sunday.

This is the first time the Stillman Softball has claimed a share of the regular season championship since moving to the NAIA. The Tigers won the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference West Division in 2015 and shared the overall SIAC regular season title with East Division Championship Albany State University.

This year's team is the inaugural champion for the HBCUAC as the conference sponsored softball for the first time this season.

"I'm super proud of our team being regular season champs. That was our first goal," said Head Coach Joel Penfield. "We just play one game at a time and don't look ahead. We have gotten better every week. We're looking forward to a great conference tournament."

Stillman is led this season by 2024 NAIA All-American Lauren Haskins, who is hitting .528 with 31 RBI and 42 runs scored. She has seven home runs and seven triples.
