NEW ORLEANS – Lauren Haskins has been named the HBCU Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week for her efforts at the plate and use of dynamic speed for the second time this season.
Haskins posted a batting average of .714 during the weekend with three triples, five total hits and four RBIs. She posted 11 total bases and had a ridiculous slugging percentage of 1.571. Haskins also posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage defensively.
On the season, Haskins is hitting for a .469 batting average, with 22 total hits, a double, four triples and a pair of home runs. She has 16 total stolen bases in the season so far.
Haskins was previously named HBCUAC Player of the Week on Feb. 11 after a stellar performance against Blue Mountain Christian University.
Stillman College returns to action Wednesday at home against the Dillard University Bleu Devils for a non-conference doubleheader scheduled for 2 p.m.
