NEW ORLEANS – After a dominant week at the plate, Stillman College softball player
Madison Bubel was named HBCU Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
Stillman won four games in a row, thanks to the bat of
Madison Bubel. She posted a .667 batting average with eight hits, six RBIs, a pair of doubles, four runs scored and three walks. She posted three multiple-hit games. The third baseman finished with 12 assists defensively and a .929 fielding percentage.
On the season, the senior from Alabaster, Alabama, is hitting .415 with 17 hits, including four doubles with eight RBIs. Along with seven walks drawn, Bubel has posted a .510 on-base percentage.
Stillman College returns to action Wednesday in a non-conference doubleheader against the University of Mobile (Ala.) Rams. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. at the UM Softball Complex.
