NEW ORLEANS – For the third time in as many weeks, the Stillman College women's basketball team has a player named HBCU Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, as
Jamariah Turner has received the honor.
Turner scored 21 points in both games this week. She shot 61.5 percent and dished two assists against Oakwood, and followed that performance going 53.8 percent from the floor and registering an assist against Arkansas Baptist.
The senior is second on the team in scoring with an average of 11.7 points per game, while shooting 43.7 percent from the floor and 30.8 percent from three. She also averages 3.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists per contest.
Farrah Pearson received Offensive Player of the Week two weeks ago and
Jaida Minter earned the honor last week.
Stillman College returns to action Thursday at home as the Lady Tigers face Voorhees University in HBCU Athletic Conference action. Tip-off in Birthright is set for 5:30 p.m.
