Stillman Moves Even in HBCUAC Action

TALLADEGA, Ala. - Stillman College fell in three sets to Talladega College on Tuesday night, 25-9, 25-12 and 25-7. The loss moves Stillman even in the HBCU Athletic Conference standings at 2-2, as the Tigers remain third in the East Division and fifth overall. 
Paige Eason led Stillman's attack with four kills, while Ava Cameron and Aeraeonna Manuel each had three kills. Erin Nelson had eight assists and Emily Powell had eight digs. 
Talladega used a 14-3 run to break open the first set and used small runs to open the second and third sets. 
Marcelly Perez, Franchesca Rivas and Re'na Ashley had nine, eight and seven kills, respectively for Talladega, while Giovana Costrelli led in both assists (23) and digs (12). 
Stillman (3-9, 2-2) will travel to Tougaloo College this Friday and Saturday to meet HBCUAC West Division foes SUNO, Tougaloo College and Dillard University in an HBCUAC Crossover.
