OXFORD, Ala. - Ten wins are in the book for Stillman College softball after a pair of run-rule victories over Talladega College on Friday at Choccolocco Park. Stillman out-paced the Tornadoes by a combined score of 18-0 through 11 innings(10-0 and 8-0), while collecting 23 total hits.
Carolyn Carter and
Lauren Haskins each hit 4-for-6 with three runs scored in the doubleheader. Carter drove in a pair of runs and Haskins pushed across one in the second game.
Madison Bubel was 3-for-6 with four runs scored, two doubles, and two RBI.
In all, 11 Stillman players collected at least one hit throughout the day. All 11 either scored a run or collected an RBI. Seven of the Tigers'
Haskins stole five bases on the day, giving her 10 through 10 games.
Lexi McCray was a hit and a walk shy of perfect in a six-inning complete game. She struck out six.
Faith Byram also went the distance, allowing three hits and four walks in a five-inning, run rule complete game.
Stillman (10-0) will now travel to Oakwood University in Huntsville on Sunday for a noon doubleheader.
