TALLADEGA, Ala. - Stillman College women's volleyball dropped a pair of matches Saturday against HBCU Athletic Conference West Division opponents at the HBCUAC Crossover at Talladega College. 

Stillman fought back from a 0-2 hole to win the third set, but lost 3-1 to Wiley University in its morning match, and then fell in three sets to Philander Smith University. 

Ava Cameron collected 20 kills on the day with 11 against Philander Smith and nine against Wiley. Paige Easton had eight kills against Wiley, followed by Katyln Lawson and Raine Paterson with six kills apiece. Patterson was second on the team against Philander Smith with seven kills. 

Kelis Conley recorded 18 and 14 assists in the two matches, while, Erin Nelson had 13 and 11 assists. Erin Powell led the defense with 26 digs on the day, including 17 against Wiley. Easton had 10 against Wiley. 

Stillman (7-16, 6-7) will return home this next week for its final two home matches and conference matches of the regular season. The Tigers will host Talladega College on Tuesday, Oct. 22 for a Pink Out match and Alumni Night, and then will host Rust College on Thursday, Oct. 24 for Senior Night. Both matches are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
