TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Stillman College began its final week of the 2023 women's volleyball season, hosting Life University in Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) action. The Tigers were unable to steal a set, falling 25-14, 25-18, 25-18.
After tailing the entire first set, Stillman led off-and-on in the second set, including 13-12. A seven-point run gave Life the lead, 19-13. Stillman used its own seven-point run in the third set to rally back from a 16-8 hole to trail by one point, 16-15. Both teams swapped the next two points before Life out-scored Stillman 8-3 to close the match.
Emily Powell and
Michelle Threatt led Stillman with six points each. Both had two kills, along with
Aeraeonna Manuel's two kills and 4.5 total points.
Katelynn Madison had 13 digs.
Stillman College will host Tennessee Southern on Thursday, Nov. 2 at 6 p.m. Prior to the match, Stillman will honor seniors
Madison Bubel,
Anniston Jones and
Katelynn Madison.
