TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Stillman College women's volleyball honored its three seniors Thursday night prior to its match against the University of Tennessee Southern. Two-sports seniors
Madison Bubel,
Anniston Jones and
Katelynn Madison were recognized for their two seasons as part of the program's reinstatement.
Bubel and Jones each scored points in the match with Bubel partnering with
Michelle Threatt on a block and Jones had one kill. Madison had three set assists and nine digs.
Gracie Fjeldstad led the team with four assists, while
Nylah Billingsley was behind Madison with eight digs and also had two kills. Aeraonna Manuel led Stillman with three kills.
Collectively, Stillman was unable to get going Thursday, falling to UT Southern in three sets: 25-9, 25-8 and 25-11.
Morgan Avrit led UTS with 17 kills and Kayle Moody had 10.
Stillman (0-21, 0-13 SSAC) will close the 2023 season Friday, Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. when it hosts SSAC front-runner Blue Mountain Chrisitan University.
