Stillman Volleyball Begins Final Home Stand with Loss to Mobile

TUSCALOOSA - Stillman College women's volleyball opened a four-match Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) home stand Saturday with a three-set loss to the University of Mobile, 25-6, 25-12, 25-8. 

Nylah Billingsley and Aeraeonna Manuel led Stillman with three kills apeice. Gracie Fjeldstad led with 10 digs and six set assists. 

The match was a return home after a two-match road trip Oct. 20-21 to Loyola University and William Carey University. During the trip, Manuel led Stillman with six kills at Loyola and eight kills at William Carey 

Emily Powell led the Tigers with 12 digs at Loyola, and Fjeldstad had 11 digs at WCU. 

Stillman College (0-19, 0-12 SSAC) will close the 2023 season with three home matches next week. The Tigers host Life University in a rescheduled match Monday, Oct. 30 at 6 p.m., and then host Tennessee Southern on Nov. 2 and Blue Mountain Christian on Nov. 3, both at 6 p.m.
