Stillman College

Joel Penfield is entering his first season as the Head Coach of the Stillman College Women's Softball program. He has 12 years experience coaching softball on the high school level. 

Penfield arrives at Stillman College after spending 7 years as the girls' Athletic Director at Bessemer Academy.

Under Penfields' tutelage, Bessemer Academy girls' athletic program has advanced to the state playoffs each year with a 3rd place finish in 2015. He also coached Bessemer Academy volleyball team. The team went on to win the State Championship in 2013 with five appearences in the final four.

Penfield has been married to Dawn Penfield for 26 years and together the couple have 2 children, Jordan and Dalton.
