TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Stillman men's basketball protected its home floor Tuesday night, edging Arkansas Baptist University 73–70 at Birthright Alumni Hall in a tightly contested nonconference matchup.
The Tigers leaned on a balanced offensive effort and timely stops down the stretch to secure the three point victory. Stillman finished the night shooting 57.8 percent from the field, overcoming a physical Arkansas Baptist team that kept the game close throughout both halves.
Josh Price delivered a strong performance in the paint, leading all scorers with 20 points on an efficient 7-of-10 shooting from the floor while adding four made free throws. Jordyn Force provided a steady presence off the bench, pouring in 19 points and helping spark the Tigers during key stretches of the second half.
Dascen Sellers added 15 points and contributed on both ends of the floor, while Adrelin Robinson chipped in 10 points to give Stillman four players in double figures. Allister Dixon controlled the glass with nine rebounds, anchoring the Tigers' interior defense.
Stillman built a six point advantage at halftime and answered every Arkansas Baptist push late in the game with poise at the free throw line. The Tigers went 12-of-19 from the stripe in the second half and forced timely turnovers to preserve the win.
Arkansas Baptist was led by Lequan Washington's 16 points and Jaylon Johnson's 14, but Stillman's depth and efficiency proved decisive.
