HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Stillman men's basketball kept its recent momentum rolling Saturday night, using a strong first half and timely plays late to earn a 63-59 win over Oakwood University in Ashby Auditorium.
Stillman led 30-20 at halftime behind efficient shooting and control of the glass, then withstood Oakwood's push after the break as the Ambassadors closed the gap by outscoring the Tigers 39-33 in the second half.
Dasean Sellers paced Stillman with 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting while adding seven rebounds and a block.
Brandon Howard finished with 11 points and seven rebounds, and Josh Price added 11 points and two assists.
Adrelin Robinson filled the stat sheet with 10 points, eight rebounds, and four assists as Stillman leaned on a balanced effort to secure the road win.
Stillman shot 43.1% from the field (22-of-51) and went 17-of-24 at the free-throw line, a key factor in a game decided by four points. The Tigers also won the rebounding battle 42-36.
Oakwood was led by
Jordan Bell with 14 points and seven rebounds. Damon Fann and Joshua Barnett chipped in nine points apiece.
With the win, Stillman improved to 15-9 overall and 10-2 in conference play.
