TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Stillman men's basketball leaned into its defensive identity Wednesday night, forcing 17 Fisk turnovers and making enough late stops to secure a 68-65 win at Birthright Alumni Hall.
Stillman turned those takeaways into 18 points and finished with 12 steals, building an early cushion and carrying a 36-25 lead into halftime. The Tigers pushed the margin to as many as 13 early in the second half, then withstood a late charge as Fisk tightened the game down the stretch.
Dasean Sellers paced Stillman with 16 points, while Jordan Fordyce added 15 off the bench to help fuel a Tigers attack that lived in the paint and at the line. Stillman scored 42 points in the paint and went 18-for-22 at the free-throw line, overcoming an 0-for-11 night from 3-point range.
Brandon Howard scored 11 points and Josh Price added nine points with four assists. De'Angelo Foster anchored the defense with eight rebounds, three blocks and three steals, while Payden Roper posted seven points and a team-high five steals.
Fisk was led by Kaleb Jeffries' game-high 29 points. Josh Alexander II recorded a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
