WILBERFORCE, Ohio. – Stillman men's basketball erased a five-point halftime deficit with a dominant second half to secure a 79-69 road win over Wilberforce University at Gaston F. Lewis Arena.
Stillman (8-9, 5-1) trailed 39-34 at the break, then flipped the game after intermission by outscoring Wilberforce (5-10, 2-5) 45-30 over the final 20 minutes. The Tigers shot 59.3% from the floor in the second half and consistently got to the foul line down the stretch to close out the victory.
Joshua Price led the way with a game-high 21 points, doing much of his damage at the stripe. The senior guard went 11-for-13 at the free throw line and added three assists and two steals while playing the full 40 minutes. Brandon Howard delivered a steady scoring punch alongside him, finishing with 18 points on 8-of-15 shooting and knocking down two 3-pointers.
Adrelin Robinson rounded out Stillman's trio of double-figure scorers in a big way, posting 16 points on an efficient 6-of-7 shooting, including 1-of-2 from beyond the arc. Robinson also chipped in three assists and two steals as the Tigers found their rhythm offensively in the second half.
Stillman's interior presence and extra-effort plays helped swing momentum as the game wore on. The Tigers scored 44 points in the paint and turned defense into offense, producing 19 points off turnovers. Stillman also controlled key stretches with timely rebounds and second-chance opportunities, finishing with 12 second-chance points.
Wilberforce was led by Daiquan Coach with 17 points and Eduardo Diaz with 13, but Stillman's defensive pressure and improved finishing after halftime proved decisive.
