DENMARK, S.C. – The Stillman College men's basketball team didn't lead for long, but lead when the final buzzer sounded with a 75-71 victory over the Voorhees University Tigers Thursday afternoon in Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference action.
Stillman improved to 4-5 overall and 2-0 in HBCUAC play, while Voorhees fell to 2-10 on the season and 1-2 in the conference.

The lead went back and forth between the two squads in the early moments, but Voorhees took control and pushed to a five-point lead following free throws from Darius Elkins with 13:50 on the clock.
However, Stillman battled back to tie the contest at 19-19 at the 10:43 mark after a layup from
Dasean Sellers. Voorhees responded and went ahead by as many as nine-points, but Stillman cut the lead to just one-point following a dunk from Allister Dixon to move the score to 39-38 at the half.
Stillman built a four-point lead by the 18:39 mark in the half following a shot from Josh Price, but minutes later Gary Davis, Jr put Voorhees ahead 47-46 with a jumper in the paint at 16:09.
From there, Voorhees led by as much as seven points and maintained the lead until 4:27 on the clock where
Jordan Fordyce connected on a pair of free throws to tie the game 65-65. Voorhees briefly reclaimed the lead, but a shot from Dixon tied the game at 67-67 and free throws from Sellers forced another tie at 69-69 with 2:20 to go.
Stillman captured the lead with 58 seconds left on a layup from Sellers to move the score to 71-69, and never relinquished the lead again. Stillman pushed ahead by six points before settling on a 75-71 win over Voorhees.

Dasean Sellers led all scorers with 29 points on 12-of-15 shooting from the floor and a 5-of-8 effort from the free throw line. Sellers added five steals, five rebounds, three assists and a block.
- A trio of Tigers finished in the teens in points with
Joshua Price posting 14 points,
Jordan Fordyce had 12 and Allister Dixon posted 10 points and led on the board with six rebounds.
-Stillman finished the game 62.2 percent (28-of-45) from the floor.
