LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Stillman College men's basketball team took to the road for the second time this season, but did not find success as the Georgia Gwinnett College Grizzlies defeated the Tigers 91-79 Thursday night in the Convocation Center
Stillman fell to 0-2 on the season, while Georgia Gwinnett improved to 4-2 overall.

Erix Grant dropped the first bucket of the game with a three-pointer to give the Tigers the early lead. However, by midway through the first half, GGC opened up a 12-point advantage after a pair of free throws by Patrick Johnson.
Free throws from
Jordan Fordyce brought Stillman within eight points at 33-25 with 6:08 on the first half clock. The Grizzlies responded by opening up a 19-point lead when Deonte Martinez connected on free throws to move the score to 49-30 with 1:20 on the clock.
Dasean Sellers splashed a jumper to close the gap to 49-32 heading to the half.
In the second half, shots from
Brandon Howard and Jonathan Crawford helped cut the lead to 53-40 at the 18:10 mark, but GGC pushed the lead back to 19 points after a free throw from Drew Kramer at the 9:03 mark.
Fordyce hit a shot with 7:09 left in the game to bring Stillman within 15 at 75-60. Josh Price cut the lead to 12 with a three with nine seconds to go, but the Grizzlies did enough to hold on to preserve the 91-79 home win.
Note and Numbers:
-Josh Price caught fire with 26 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the floor and 8-of-10 from the free-throw line. Price added five assists and two steals.

Brandon Howard and
Jordan Fordyce both scored 13 points. Fordyce also contributed seven rebounds and three assists. Howard added five boards.
-Stillman shot 45.8 percent (27-of-59) from the floor, 42.9 percent (9-of-21) from three and 66.7 percent (16-of-24) from the free-throw line.
