MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Stillman College men's basketball team attempted to rally from a large deficit but fell short 70-65 to the Faulkner University Eagles Tuesday night in Tine W. Davis Gymnasium.
Stillman fell to 1-3 following the loss, while Faulkner improved to 4-1 on the season.

The Tigers kept it close early in the first half, but by the time the first half reached 11:05, Stillman was down 13-6 after a shot by Allister Dixon.
Adrelin Robinson made a layup seconds later to move the score to 13-8.
However, as time passed in the first half, Faulkner's lead ballooned to 33-13 after a free throw from Kamal Green with 3:05 on the clock. The Tigers showed some resolve and cut the lead to 37-23 with a
Reshawn Charleston layup as time expired in the half.
Stillman continued to whittle down the lead throughout the early moments of the second half, getting as close as 41-40 after a shot from
Brandon Howard. The Eagles responded by pushing the lead back to six with a layup from Tanner Vogel at the 111:50 mark on the clock.
The Tigers tied the game at the 4:08 mark at 48-48 with a layup from Dixon. Stillman took the lead with 8:04 left in the second half after a three-pointer from Jonathan Crawford moved the score to 51-49. The lead was tied or changed seven times down the stretch before Faulkner pulled away for the 70-65 win.

Jordan Fordyce scored 16 points on 62.5 percent (5-of-8) shooting from the floor and a 75 percent (3-of-4) effort from three. Fordyce added four rebounds and a steal.
-Allister Dixon posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Dixon added three assists, a steal and a block.
-It was a tale of two halves for the Tigers. Stillman shot 29.6 percent (8-of-27) in the first half and 55.2 percent (16-of-29) in the second half. The Tigers finished the game 42.9 percent (24-of-56) overall.
