LAUREL, Miss. - Stillman College men's basketball extended its win streak to five games with a 64-41 non-conference win at Southeastern Baptist College on Thursday night.
Tyler Martin buried a 3 to start the game, and Stillman never trailed. The Chargers pulled within two points late in the first half, but the Tigers carried a 28-23 lead into halftime following a
Kyin Healey basket.
Stillman opened the second half on a 9-0 run and quickly stretched its lead to 20 points, 45-25, after a pair of Martin 3-pointers.
Ten different players helped Stillman crash the boards, out-rebounded SBC 45-19. Stillman was even with the Chargers on the Tigers' glass with 17 offensive rebounds to SBC's 17 defensive boards.
Stillman will now carry a 5-4 overall record to go along with its 2-0 HBCUAC record into the HBCU Athletic Conference Crossover next weekend in New Orleans.
