NEW ORLEANS - Four free throws by
Joshua Price in the final 90 seconds pushed Stillman College men's basketball past Dillard University, 60-57. The TIgers (7-4, 5-0) have now won seven straight as they move to 5-0 in the HBCU Athletic Conference.
Price finished with 11 points to follow Calvin Finch, Jr.'s double-double 16 points and 14 rebounds.
Trailing 29-28 at the half, Stillman opened the second half on a 15-2 run to lead by 12 points, 43-31, on a 3-pointer by Price. The Tigers led the entire second half except when Armond Williams gave Dillard a 57-56 lead in the final two minutes before Price's four free throws.
Scoring was spread among seven players, with
Brandon Howard and
Michael Taylor each scoring nine points. Stillman out-rebounded Dillard, 33-27.
Stillman has one more game on the road this semester, traveling across the Crescent City to SUNO on Monday, Dec. 16. at 3 p.m.
