MARIETTA, Ga. - Stillman College women's basketball hit the road for the fourth straight game, but fell 72-53 at Life University.
The Tigers led off-and-on through the first quarter, but Life's Maeisha Teasley answered a
Kashara Preston layup to tie the game at 16-16 after 10 minutes of play.
Life pulled away in the second quarter for a 34-25 halftime lead. The Running Eagles' lead stretched to 15 points, 42-27, early in the third quarter before Stillman charged back with a 12-2 run to pull within five points, 44-39. Preston hit back-to-back 3s during the run.
That was the closest the Tigers got. Life out-paced Stillman 20-11 in the fourth quarter, including a 16-5 run in the final five minutes.
Maeisha Teasley had 17 points for Life, while Maikya Simmons and Brionna Sims each scored 12.
Stillman (7-7, 3-5 SSAC) will play its fourth-straight road game on Wednesday, Jan. 17 with a trip to the University of Tennessee Southern in Pulaski, Tennessee.
