HATTIESBURG, Miss. - After two years of last-second game-winners, Stillman College at William Carey University proved to be yet another must-watch NAIA men's basketball game Saturday, Dec. 10. However, Stillman was unable to respond to a late lead change by William Carey, falling 80-78, for its first road Southern States Athletic Conference loss of the season.
The loss snapped a six-game win streak. It was the fourth time in five years the game in Hattiesburg was decided by three points or less.
Stillman (7-3, 3-2 SSAC) led WCU for 39:52 of the 40-minute game. The game saw 10 made free throws in the final 10 seconds of action.

Arturro Bingham hit all three shots to finish with 12 points and give WCU an 80-78 lead with 0.8 seconds on the clock. A full-court pass was knocked out of bounds, giving Stillman the ball in front of its bench with 0.5 left. However, the inbounds, alley-oop attempt hit the top of the backboard to turn the ball over to the Crusaders.
