Tiger Volleyball Drops Pair in Georgia

MACON, Ga. - Stillman College wrapped up a two-day swing through Georgia on Tuesday, with a three-set loss at Middle Georgia State University. The loss follows a straight-set loss Monday night at Brewton-Parker College in a pair of makeup matches in Southern States Athletic Conference action. 

 
The Tigers fell 25-15, 25-16 and 25-10 at Brewton-Parker before losing 25-18, 25-12 and 25-7 at Middle Georgia. 
 
Aeraeonna Manuel led Stillman in both matches, scoring a combined 13.5 points. She had three kills, three aces and 1.5 blocks against Brewton-Parker, and then added four kills and two solo blocks at Middle Georgia.
 
Sara Kate Nichols was second in scoring at BPC with four kills, while Khadeja Bryant and Grace Fjeldstad had two each. Rebecca Brogdon had three aces. Manuel led the defense with 11 digs, followed by Anniston Jones' nine and eight by Fjeldstad, who also had four assists. 
 
At Middle Georgia, TiAna Lawrence had three kills, while Katelynn Madison two kills, four assists and six digs. Taylor Roland and Fjeldstad led Stillman with eight digs each. 
 
Stillman (1-17, 1-15 SSAC) will close its season this weekend with a trip to William Carey University on Friday at 6 p.m., followed by a trip to New Orleans to meet Loyola University and Louisiana Christian University.
