TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Stillman College women's volleyball posted its best second set score in Southern States Athletic Conference action this season, but fell in three sets Saturday afternoon to Faulkner University (25-4, 25-18, 25-14). The Tigers' 36 points are their third-most against a SSAC team this season.

After a 25-4 loss in the first set, Stillman benefited from Stillman errors to even the second set early, 2-2.
Aeraeonna Manuel collected her first kill to break a seven-point Faulkner run, 9-3. The point sparked a five-point run for Stillman to close the gap, 9-7. A Kendall Rice kill regained Faulkner's advantage, but a Manuel block cut it to two again, 10-8, before the Eagles broke serve. Faulkner built an eight-point lead, 21-13, before a side-out set up three-straight aces by Manuel to pull Stillman within four points, 21-17. The Eagles took the set, 25-18.

Haven Oweings led Faulkner with seven kills. Charlee Jordan and Rice each had six. Jordan and Elisa Landry had five digs on defense.

Stillman (0-12, 0-11 SSAC) will travel to Huntsville, Alabama on Monday to face Oakwood University in a makeup non-conference match at 6 p.m. The match was postponed twice this season, originally scheduled for Sept. 6, then Sept. 27. Stillman returns to SSAC action Saturday, Oct. 15 at Blue Mountain College.Â
