
The purpose of the Stillman College Athletics Hall of Fame is to perform the following objectives:
- Honor those who by outstanding achievement or participation in sports at Stillman College, reflected honor and glory both at the institution and in subsequent life;
- Inspire our student-athletes to strive for excellence and to be all that they can be;
- Encourage the preservation of records of teams and individuals who deserve to be included in the Stillman College sports history;
- Maintain high standards, high ideals and traditions of sports as a positive influence on the youth of our state and country;
- Support sports participation on a level of sportsmanship and wholesome environment;
- Inspire our student athletes to be fit physically, morally and mentally and to strive for the highest achievement within the bounds of their mental, physical, athletic and academic capability.

ELIGIBILITY
STUDENT-ATHLETE
All former athletes must meet the following criteria to be eligible for nomination into Stillman College Athletics Hall of Fame. No more than 10 inductees will be selected in any given year subject to the following criteria:
- Must have graduated from Stillman College or nominee must have departed Stillman College to enter a professional playing career after one or more years at the college.

Must be in good standing at Stillman College (i.e., with no student debt or other college-related debts to the college).
- Must have lettered in at least one varsity sport at Stillman College.
- Must have been out of competition for five (5) or more consecutive years
- Must have won/been awarded at least one of the following - National Championship, Conference Championship, All-American or All-Conference honor or Player of the Year and/or
- Must hold the school record in at least in at least one positive category in their respective sport such as rebounds, three point shots, yards gained, touchdowns, kill shots, blocks, record in a particular category of race, strikeouts, stolen bases, home runs, or alike
COACHES
To qualify for entrance into the Stillman College Athletics Hall of Fame, former or current Coaches much meet the criteria outlined below:
- Must have served as a Head Coach at Stillman College for at least five (5) years.
- Must have coached at least one championship team, (conference, regional or national) and/or
- Must have won at least 50 percent of games played during his/her coaching Tenure at Stillman College.
- Must have contributed significantly to the progress and development or his/her community.
- Provided extraordinary service and or support to the athletics program or whose achievements are recognized by the President of the University as being worthy of consideration into the Stillman College Athletics Hall of Fame.
CONTRIBUTORS
This category celebrates those individuals — or groups of individuals — who have made outstanding and historical contributions to Stillman College athletics outside of competition. (There is no time limit for induction in this category) a maximum of two may be inducted per year

1. Nominations may come from those individuals or groups interested in, and who support, Stillman College athletics. Former college student-athletes and current supporters of the athletics program are strongly encouraged to nominate individuals for consideration as inductees into the Stillman College Athletic Hall of Fame.
2. Nominee must meet criteria of their category and have been of outstanding quality, must have maintained a high moral character, must have demonstrated integrity, and must have been held in high esteem by his/her colleagues.
3.Typed nominations must be submitted to the Electoral Board by July 15 each year on the official nomination form.
4. Written nominations shall include a biographical sketch of the nominee, a summation of the achievement(s) for which the person is being nominated, a 3x5 photo (or high-res digital photo) of the nominee, current home address, email address, telephone number, and two letters of recommendation.
5. All nomination forms and supporting documents will be kept with the permanent file and reviewed by the Electoral Board when it convenes. If the Electoral Board determines by majority vote that the nomination does not meet the eligibility criteria then the nomination form will be returned to the individual who submitted the nomination.
6. The nine-person Electoral Board Committee includes alumni, coaches, administrators, faculty and staff. The committee will meet annually in September to review current nominations and submissions for February induction at Homecoming.
7. Nominations received after the electoral board convenes will not be considered until the following year.
8. A permanent file of all candidates who meet the above eligibility criteria will be kept on file with the Electoral Board. Individuals who names are included in the permanent file as a result of being previously nominated but not selected will be automatically eligible for consideration by the electoral board each subsequent year. However, if a nominee is not enshrined in the Hall within three years the nominees name will be removed from the list. Nominee must wait a period of three years before renomination.
9. Nominee must appear on 75 percent of the ballots (ranked 1 through 10) in order to be eligible for induction to the Stillman College Athletic Hall of Fame.
10. Up to ten (10) individuals and no more than one team may be inducted into the Stillman College Athletic Hall of Fame each year. If for any reason no one is inducted, a catch-up provision may be applied by the President of Stillman College (via an official letter) in the ensuing year.
