NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – In an extra-innings battle, the Stillman College baseball team stayed the course and collected a 13-9 win in 13 frames over the #2 Seed Wiley University Wildcats Saturday evening in an elimination contest to advance in the 2025 Hope Credit Union HBCU Athletic Conference Baseball Championships. However the 2025 season came to a close late Saturday night with a loss to Southern University at New Orleans.
The Tigers (28-22) jumped ahead of Wiey early with a
Troy Davis home run to right field for three RBIs.
Sieas Elliott followed with a two-run shot to give Stillman a 5-0 lead after the top of the first.
Davis nabbed another RBI in the second on a ground out that helped
Kobe Lewis score.
Wiley (34-17) started to rally with two runs in the fourth inning and three more in the sixth to cut the score to 6-5 after six innings.
In the seventh,
Davion Wilkins smacked a sacrifice fly to center field to bring
Griff Minor home. Elliott followed with a hit to right center as Davis came around to score.

However, the Wildcats rallied in the late innings with a run in the seventh and two more in the ninth. Wiley had a chance to win the game in the ninth on the game-tying play, but Ajari Camp was thrown out at home as he attempted to score.
Both offenses had opportunities in extra innings, but the Tigers finally broke through in the top of the 13th when Lewis drew a bases-loaded walk to allow Wilkins to touch home. On Minor's at-bat, the second baseman committed an error, allowing Lewis,
Kameran Belser and Mehka Hicks all to score and push the lead to the 13-9 final to clinch victory for Stillman.
Davis led the way with four RBIs and a home run on 2-for-6 hitting. Elliott posted three RBIs and a homer on a 2-for-5 effort at the plate. Lewis collected a triple and Wilkins posted a double. Wilkins, Kelly and
Elijah Anderson all stole a base.
