COCHRAN, Ga. - Stillman College fell 11-1 in seven innings during game three of a Southern States Athletic Conference series at Middle Georgia State University on Friday.
Middle Georgia jumped on top with an eight-run third inning off Tiger starting pitcher
Griff Minor (1-2). Six were earned. Minor allowed five hits through 2.1 innings.
In the top of the fourth,
Troy Davis doubled in Sam Fleming for his fifth RBI of the week and the Stillman's first run. Davis hit 2-for-2 in the game to lead Stillman's offense.
Ryan Wilson extended Middle Georgia's lead, 10-1, with a two-run home run in the bottom of the fourth inning. A hit batter and three wild pitches pushed across another run, 11-1. Â
Ten-straight Tiger hitters were retired in order before Davis was hit by a pitch to start the seventh.
Lathan McLaughlin had a double to center to put runners on the corners, but a strike out and ground out closed out the inning and enacted the 10-run rule.
Stillman (8-15, 3-12) is scheduled to travel to Rust College for a non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday, March 19.Â
