TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Stillman College dropped its first two Southern States Athletic Conference baseball games of the season Saturday against Blue Mountain Christian University. After dropping a seven-inning, Game 1, 10-5, the Tigers fell in the second game, 13-0.
Bryant Rhooms hit 2-for-3 and reached base a total of five times on the day. He scored three of the Tigers' five runs and drove in one.
The three-game series will conclude Sunday, March 5 at 1 p.m.
GAME 1: BMCU 10, STILLMAN 5

Stillman led through four innings after TJ Davis singled in Rhooms to lead, 3-2. However, a pair of balk calls against relief pitcher
Isidro Jimenez pushed two runs across in the top of the fifth to give Blue Mountain the lead. Reilly Tate singled in a run to give extend the Toppers' lead to 5-3 through 4.5 innings.
Mason Collins singled with two outs in the fifth to spark a Tiger rally.

Tre'en Dorsett followed with an RBI single to left to tie the game, 5-5, through five.
Blue Mountain tacked on two runs in the sixth and three in the seventh to pull away.
Minor received a no decision in his SSAC start on the mound. He allowed two runs off three hits and four walks through four innings. He had three strikeouts. Jimenez (0-1) allowed six runs of five hits nad two walks in two innings.
Cody Clark struck out three in the seventh inning, but allowed two runs.
Matthew Koch (2-0) took the win, allowing two earned runs through seven innings. He allowed seven hits, did not walk a runer and struck out five.
Alex Frillman, Zach Koon and Easton Rainer each had two hits for the Toppers.
GAME 2: BMCU 13, STILLMAN 0
Stillman's only hit was a one-out single in the first inning by
Geoff Grier.
Josh Smith (4-1) allowed only four base runners in the win for BMCU. The only other base runner was when Rhooms was hit by a pitch in the fourth. Rhooms was hit twice and walked once in the game without recording an official at bat.
Blue Mountain took its lead in the third inning, 1-0, and extended it to 4-0 after five innings before adding a nine spot in the top of the sixth.
Mason Collins (1-1) was charged with the loss, allowing three earned runs off nine hits through five innings. He struck out four.
Frillman hit 4-for-5 with two RBI and three runs to lead the Toppers.
